Our Purpose

Our organization exists to create and maintain an environmentally friendly outdoor space, specifically designed for individuals living with disabilities.  We believe everyone should have access to the scientifically proven benefits of being in nature and will not rest until the great outdoors are open to all.

Founders' Inspiration

Our mother loved all things outdoors. Her favorite place was Pymatuning State Park. 

In 2015, she had her leg amputated due to vascular compromise. It was then that we realized it was tough to find camping destinations that could accommodate her wheelchair both indoors and outdoors.

 In 2016, she passed away without having visited her beloved state park. This didn't sit right with us, so we set out to make a change.

The Wright Place for Us was born in order to ensure that those with disabilities can still access nature.
