Our Mission

We seek to provide an ADA-compliant outdoor classroom, designed for people with various levels of physical ability.

We aim to create a safe space for exploration, enabling creativity, learning, and peace with our natural surroundings.

We make this happen through curated gardens, winding trails, and enrichment activities, including magnet fishing, games and active learning stations.

Founders' Inspiration

Our mother loved all things outdoors. Her favorite place was Pymatuning State Park.

In 2015, she had her leg amputated due to vascular compromise. It was then that we realized it was tough to find outdoor destinations that could accommodate her wheelchair.

In 2016, she passed away without having visited her beloved state park. This didn't sit right with us, so we set out to make a change.

The Wright Place for Us was born in order to ensure that those with disabilities can still access nature.
